What We Do
Most jobs use more than one. A scan becomes a model, the model becomes a prototype, and a proven part can become one of our own shop products when it fits the catalog.
Functional parts, built to spec
Durable production parts printed in-house — matched to how the part is actually used, not just how it looks.
We travel to your part
We bring the scanner to you and capture existing parts or equipment in place — no shipping, no downtime, no teardown.
From sketch or scan to a real model
We turn a rough idea, a set of measurements, or raw scan data into a clean, manufacturable model built to be produced.
Prove it before you commit
Fast physical iterations so you can hold the part, check the fit, and find problems before investing more time or money.
Also available: multi-part assembly and custom electronics enclosures.
New Service
Have a part with no drawing? We travel to you and scan it in place — ideal for reverse-engineering discontinued parts, capturing geometry for a custom fit, or documenting equipment that can't leave your floor.
We scope the deliverable with you based on what you actually need — from a reference mesh to a cleaned, print-ready model — and can turn it into a small number of printed parts when the job fits our capabilities.
What That Means For You
We come to you
Battery-powered and wireless — no shipping your part off, and no mains power needed at your site.
No prep, no spray
Dark and metallic surfaces scan without a coating, so your equipment doesn't get sprayed or masked.
Small parts to whole machines
Captures everything from a roughly 5 mm component up to around 4 m of equipment.
Scan straight into parts
Because we print in-house, a scan can become a fitted replacement part without handing off to anyone else.
Travel and turnaround are quoted per job based on your location and the size of the scan.
Launch Focus
We are not taking on contract manufacturing or outsourced product fulfillment at launch. The shop is focused on designing, testing, selling, and fulfilling Impact Prototyping's own product catalog.
We will still consider small custom parts, repairs, scanning, CAD help, and limited prototype quantities when the project is clear and manageable.
Good Fits
One-off replacement parts
A broken, missing, or discontinued part that needs a practical replacement.
Prototype quantities
A few functional samples to test fit, form, or usefulness.
Scan-to-print projects
Existing geometry captured on-site and turned into a usable printed part.
Clear, contained scope
Projects we can complete without becoming your manufacturing department.

Custom
Every part is printed in our own shop. Pick a stock color — or request a custom color and we'll source it for your run.
If it solves a practical problem and can be produced reliably, there's a good chance we can help. Here are some ideas to get you started:
Send your request directly to contact@impactprototyping.com with as much detail as possible and we'll get back to you.
Most jobs take 3-7 business days to produce, depending on complexity. Scanning and modeling work is scheduled separately. We'll include an estimated timeline in your quote.
Share a few details and we'll follow up with a quote — or set up a quick call to talk it through. No files needed yet.
